Club Profile

The Ferntree Gully Cricket Club was first formed in the early 1880's, and is located at the "Wally H. Tew" Recreation Reserve. The Reserve supports two Cricket grounds and is nestled at the foot of the magnificent and picturesque Dandenong Ranges off Glenfern Road, Ferntree Gully, in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs.

As the oldest continually operating community group within the City of Knox, the club has formed an integral part of the local Ferntree Gully district for over 100 years. We are affiliated with the Ferntree Gully & District Cricket Association, a competition the club helped form in 1947/48.

New players are always welcome at the club, with training conducted at the Reserve's Nets on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the cricket season. The Club's magnificent two storey social rooms, highlighted by the evidence of our long and successful history, are open during and after Training on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as on Saturday match days and most Sundays throughout the season.
